Sunset Strip Music Festival Rocks West Hollywood

WEST HOLLYWOOD, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Third Annual Sunset Strip Music Festival (SSMF) will rock West Hollywood August 26-28, 2010, featuring headlining act The Smashing Pumpkins. During this three-day celebration of the notorious Sunset Strip, live bands will perform throughout the weekend in The Strip’s legendary music venues: the Whisky-a-Go-Go, Roxy, Key Club, Viper Room, Cat Club and House of Blues. The event culminates on Saturday with a street fest featuring the Smashing Pumpkins and dozens of additional acts, including Slash (with Fergie and Myles Kennedy), Common, Semi Precious Weapons, Neon Trees, Big B and Steel Panther.
 
During Saturday’s street fest, Sunset Boulevard is closed to traffic between Doheny Drive and San Vicente Boulevard and transformed into a premier concert destination with outdoor stages, beer gardens, a VIP lounge, food trucks, interactive experiences and live performances within the venues during the day.
 
The Sunset Strip is located entirely in West Hollywood and is easily accessed from each of the city’s 14 hotels. SUNSET STRIP MUSIC FESTIVAL
 
Individual street fest tickets are $49.50 in advance and $65 at the box office. VIP street fest tickets, which include access to a private tented area with full no-host bar and seating area, are available for $100 in advance. A limited number of three-day VIP weekend passes will be available for $250, including entrance to Slash’s tribute at House of Blues on August 26, access to all of the clubs on The Strip throughout the weekend, and access to the VIP tent at the SSMF street fest.
